The Rising Sun Hotel would be one of the most unusual pub in Queensland not alone the town of Rosewood, the pub is dated built at 1908 as a purpose built hotel two story accommodation upstairs still in able to book a room, the outside shows its age but inside a new fit out with the preservation of the pressed tin ceiling, wonderful wood work of the stair case and the window design I haven’t seen in any other Queensland hotel the detail of the fretting around the outside is very arts and crafts,

Ok History buffs I have sourced information from Queensland Times 1880s and The Rosewood History Group and 3 blokes at the pub told me it was dragged by bullock from up the road to this spot, Rosewood was known as Rosewood Gate were a level crossing from Grandchester “Bigge, s Camp and became a town Known as Rosewood and the Inn known as the Rising Sun 1857 sat alone, The Vance family turned the Rising Sun into a school about 1870 and back to a pub in 1874 and new hotel opened 1908 in the current location. — massive back beer garden come entertainment area
