Ok History buffs I have sourced information from Queensland Times 1880s and The Rosewood History Group and 3 blokes at the pub told me it was dragged by bullock from up the road to this spot, Rosewood was known as Rosewood Gate were a level crossing from Grandchester “Bigge, s Camp and became a town Known as Rosewood and the Inn known as the Rising Sun 1857 sat alone, The Vance family turned the Rising Sun into a school about 1870 and back to a pub in 1874 and new hotel opened 1908 in the current location.
