If you look closely at the Hero’s walls, you can still see the chisel marks of the convicts who carved them.

This is a beautiful pub tucked away a bit from the tourists, it offers good pub food with so much history on the walls.

Convict labour was used to build both the hotel and the Church from sandstone from the Argyle Cut.
